Affordable helmet for large heads

I bought this helmet for a couple of people who occasionally ride with me, that have a very large head. I did not want to spend big bucks on something that would only be used a few times a year, but I wanted them to have full protection. This helmet gave me that option.

It is indeed a 4XL helmet, and it fit them, where my 2XL helmet would not. They could not even pull the 2XL on at all. This 4XL was a bit snug, but doable for an hour or two on the bike.

For $100, you would not expect much, and you don't get much. The liner is very thin and has little padding. My comparison points are Scorpion EXO-700 helmets and a HJC IS-16. Both of those helmets give luxury quality for mid-range price. The AFX Magnus gives economy quality for economy price, but with good features, and gives the large-headed the option for full-face protection at a very low price. I do wish that AFX had skipped supplying a helmet bag in favor of a more plush interior.
