helmet bag was first thing i noticed when opening the box. not your usual drawstring hobo dust cover. this thing looks like a piece of luggage and is very heavy duty. an extra visor is included with the helmet as well. when i spend high $$$ on a helmet, this is what i expect to get. first look at the paint job and clear coat, and i can tell the quality is superb. fittings and hardware including the trim are superb as well and are beyond what i was expecting. interior attaches with ease, and is also removed with ease. this is a very lightweight helmet and the feel of it, is like your not really wearing a helmet at all. shell shape is very well balanced. gogle window is wide and gives amazing field of vision. ventilation and liner options are outstanding. cutouts for earbuds is a nice feature since i enjoy an ipod during practice. i was skeptical and unsure about the quality because troy lee designs is a image driven company so i assumed they were not quality driven with th eir merchandise. i have always had shoei and arai helmets in the past, and thought nothing could come close because of their reputation for superiority. well now my opinion is that those guys are way overpriced and new technology is catching up to them. 10 years ago, they were the shiz. but now, i think their days are numbered unless they start shaving weight, and coming up with better looking graphics. the troy lee se3 for 2012 is overall a 10 out of 10 and worth every penny spent.
